Book two updates

You’ve probably heard.  Tuesday my flash drive disappeared from my work computer.  Friday it reappeared.

MINUS ALL MY FILES.

So all that progress I made, yeah it’s all gone.

I was able to recover about 1000 old versions of book two though, and because I just had to read the opening sentence seventy-two times, I thought I’d share it.

Sleep and Gideon hadn’t been on good terms since long before the experiment that turned him into a monster.

There’s a prologue, and the book doesn’t focus on Gideon and Nicole, but if the words are imprinted on the back of my eyelids I figured you should at least know them too.  If nothing else, when I start carving them into the wall you’ll know why.

Or maybe I am dead?

Remember when I said “BOOK TWO FINISHED THIS WEEKEND!”?  Well turns out I didn’t write at all.

What I did do this weekend:

Went on a quest for Twinkies.
Watched Breaking Dawn Part Two, even though we never watched Part One.
Read a bunch of smut… for “research”
And just generally snuggled up with the hubs.
Hung out with some long lost friends.
Re-watched “Letters to Juliet” and “Penelope”

Sorry, but it turns out my depressed pants are still on and I needed one last weekend to just blah the fuck out.

This week though… this week Imma finish book two. Of course, I forgot my flash drive today and so I can’t work on it here, but still! THIS WEEK!

I’m not dead. I think

I know, all signs point to the contrary since I basically dropped off the face of the planet.  I am still around though.  Alive and sort of living.  See at the end of last month something rather unexpected happened.  I was torn on if I should post it here or not, and I decided not to because there’s still a lot of hurt involved. At the same time I came down with that death plague that’s been going around New Hampshire and actually spent Halloween in bed because I couldn’t actually sit up.

Both of these, coupled with my vain attempts at participating in NaNoWriMo (and failing miserably) mean that I barely touched my writing in… well weeks now.

That’s okay though, because I’m back on track now. The story I really want to tell is book eight or something (the evil lady villain is loosely based on someone from the real world, and I just really want to write about her) so I’m dedicated to finishing book two this weekend. Hopefully book three won’t torture me quite so much and will be written in the twoish weeks it should take me to write a novella.

I FOUND AN EXCERPT!  It’s unpolished and probably sucks a load of monkey balls, but click more to read it. Continue reading

Couple of updates and a goal

Holy balls kids, it has only been one week since I hit publish on “The Monster Within.” It doesn’t feel possible. In fact it feels something like a dream. Or a nightmare. Or just an eternity. I’d like to say I’ve learned a lot in the past week… but I’d have to actually wake up to process those lessons.

(Actually, I did learn something. That I kick ass at battle pets in WoW. But that is neither here nor there)

Thank you again to everyone who’s purchased, read, and/or reviewed “The Monster Within.” You rock my world.

Now, some updates on the second book: Continue reading

Because he’s so… zazzy!

I am not going to lie to you, folks… Okay, that’s a lie, I lie constantly, but usually only for entertaining reasons and hardly ever because I’m involved in some form of jewel theft. (Which is a lie. Or is it?)

Where was I going with this?

OH! So when someone allows me to create nonsense with minimal effort and then post that shit, I hop on board quicker than you can say “Bob’s your uncle.” Thusly, Zazzle is my friend. Check out all the neat stuff I made instead of writing my follow-up to “The Monster Within.”

Also, every time I say Zazzle… this…
